You have always wanted to sew a quilt – but do not know where to start- or you’ve wondered, “Can I do it?” And our answer is: YES, YOU CAN!

In our Beginner’s Patchwork Class, you will see it really isn’t all that difficult at all to sew a quilt. We will take you step-by-step through the creative process of making a quilt from start to finish. In just 6 weeks, you will learn to hand or machine piece a quilt, starting with 9-patch and 4-patch blocks. And you will also learn to assemble the blocks, add the sashes and sew mitered borders. Lastly, you will learn to hand quilt your project and sew on the binding. Once you are done – you’ll have the basic skills to move on to other quilt projects!

Beginner's Patchwork Single Quilt
10 lessons of 2 hours each, once a week
Cost: $225 (Fabric and supplies not included)

For those which are a bit more ambitious! Instead of doing a baby size quilt, we will make a single quilt. You will learn all what you learn in the standard beginner’s class but with only 4 classes more you can achieve to make a single quilt with 18 different blocks instead of 6 blocks.

Quillow
Three lessons of 2 hours each, twice a week
Cost: $ 105 (Fabric and supplies not included)

Ever wondered what’s a quillow? Take a quilt and turn it into a pillow and you get a quillow! ...in other words, a quilt in a pillow. The pillow is either hand or machine appliqué. You choose a main fabric and according to the theme of the main fabric, we will provide you with an appliqué pattern matching your theme fabric. The quilt itself is very easy to sew, just two pieces front and back. We will put more work into the quilting, again matching your theme fabric. Fun, easy and creative and it’s a very fast project if you need a gift for a baby shower.

Use me as a pillow unless you get cold
Then pull out my stuffing and gently unfold
I'm a lap quilt now with space for your feet
And when you're all done,
Fold me back nice and neat.

Kimono Class
Two lessons of 3 hours each, once a week
Cost $ 85.- (Fabric and supplies not included)

Make this beautiful wall hanging or single quilt with Japanese fabrics. Learn how to use the design of the fabric to achieve the desired look. This project is rotary cut and the quilt will be sewn in no time. You will be impressed! The sewing is very easy and you might like to give an Asian souvenir to your best friend.

Log Cabin Class
Choosing fabric & two lessons of 2 hours each, once a week
Cost $ 75.- (Fabric and supplies not included)

Selecting the right fabric will be part of the lesson. This traditional pattern is great for beginners and advanced. Make a beautiful quilt in the size of your choice in no time with this strip piecing method. There is always something new to try with this flexible design. Rotary cutter and ruler required.

Puzzle
Two lessons of 3 hours each, once a week
Cost $ 85.- (Fabric and supplies not included)

Do you like to play puzzle searching for the right piece to fin into the right spot? Then puzzle is a quilt you love to do. Our sample was made with lots of different fabrics ( no repeat) we actually used all our left overs from the binding box!. But using a monochromatic range of fabric would be very interesting as well. Fun to sew and fun to look at.

Colorwash Trip around the World
One Day workshop 10 am to 4 pm
Cost: $75.- (Fabric and supplies not included)

Choose a color or a few fabrics, we will help you to add in more fabrics. You can either cut your fabric or we can prepare a kit for you if you like otherwise you need between 9 and 11 different fabrics.
For this class you need a rotary cutter and we teach you how to use it. Bring your sewing machine for best results or rent our machine. You should be able to sew the top during this day or at least half of it. Borders will be discussed at the end. For lunch we will take a break and come back for more sewing.
Sewing sequence strips together and re-cutting is one of the secrets. You will be surprised how fast your quilt will grow

Machine Appliqué Class one
One lesson of 3 hours
Cost $ 45.- (Kit not included)

Master the technique of machine appliqué with the button hole stitch or blanket stitch. Learn all the little tricks which makes machine appliqué easier using the right thread, tension, needle and speed. You will practice inside and outside curves as well as perfecting sharp points.
You also will learn when it is preferable to use fusible web or the glue spray.
Note: Please bring your sewing machine to the class for better result you will learn how to set your machine and which footer to use.

Machine Quilting Class
One 3 hours lesson
Cost $ 45.- (Kit not included)

Learn how to transfer your design on your quilt and all you need to know about transfer pencils, needles and special quilting footers. Learn the basic straight stitch quilting and to machine quilt a continuous line pattern. Become an expert in stippling. Bring your sewing machine to the class. If you have a Bernina 440 you will also be thought how to use the BSR.
